About Scott Healy, CPA, PLLC
Scott Healy, CPA, PLLC was founded on September 1, 2020, continuing the certified public accounting practice previously operated under the EFPR Group, LLP office in Newark, NY. The firm’s history traces back to its predecessor, Sinicropi & Healy, LLP, and even further to its origins in Newark, NY, dating back to 1966.
Scott L. Healy began his career with the Newark firm in 1984 and became a partner in 1994 at Bergmark, Butera & Sinicropi, which later became Sinicropi & Healy. In late 2010, Sinicropi & Healy, LLP merged with EFP Rotenberg, LLP, which subsequently became EFPR Group, LLP. Despite these transitions, the firm has maintained a continuous presence in Newark, NY, upholding its longstanding commitment to clients and the community.
Meet The Team
Scott grew up in East Irondequoit and graduated from Bishop Kearney High School and earned a BS in Accounting at Clarkson University. He started working as a staff accountant in Newark, NY at Bergmark & Bird in the summer of 1984. In 1994 he was made a partner at Butera, Sinicropi & Healy. Scott is a CPA licensed in New York and holds the designation of Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of CPA’s. Scott is the founder and owner of Scott Healy, CPA, PLLC. Scott has focused his practice on taxation and small business planning and consulting. Scott is a member and Past President of the Newark Rotary Club. Scott also has served Rotary at the District level and currently serves as Treasurer for District 7120. Scott has served on the boards of The Newark Public Library, ARC of Wayne, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital Foundation and currently serves as Board Chair of Newark-Wayne Community Hospital and Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic.
Doug grew up in West Bloomfield, NY and graduated from Bloomfield Central High School in 1984. He earned a BS in Accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1999. He started working as a staff accountant in Geneva, NY at Fuller & Carroll, CPAs in the spring of 1989. He started working with Scott in Newark in the fall of 2002.
Doug is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in New York State and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Doug is a member of the Newark Rotary Club and has served on the club’s board of directors and as club treasurer for two years. Doug is the treasurer for the Newark-Arcadia Historical Society and is a past board member for the Greater Newark Chamber of Commerce and for the Canandaigua Federal Credit Union.
